A lifelong hunter and outdoorsman, Bill Brod brings decades of media experience and storytelling passion to Outdoor Specialty Media. Before launching the company, Bill spent over 20 years as CEO and Publisher of the Syracuse New Times, where he led one of the region’s most respected alt-weeklies through the evolving landscape of print and digital media.

Bill is a visionary, a dreamer, and above all—a storyteller. He’s seen the advertising world transform from newspapers, billboards, and television into today’s fast-paced digital frontier of websites, social media, affiliate strategies, and targeted advertising. Rather than resist the change, he embraced it—using his deep understanding of audience, message, and medium to build Outdoor Specialty Media into a bridge between tradition and innovation.

His love for the outdoors and his passion for telling real stories is at the heart of everything we do. Whether he’s strategizing with partners, crafting content ideas, or sitting in a tree stand thinking about the next campaign, Bill leads with authenticity—and the kind of vision that keeps us one step ahead.
